The goal
Launch my podcast and publish 24 episodes by this time next year
Make it yours: change the highlighted parts, the numbers and the wording. In Ascanti the dates are set from the quarter you start in.
How you'll know you got there
my podcast is live, with 24 episodes published on schedule.
Why this works
Most podcasts stop after a handful of episodes, usually because the schedule was too ambitious or the show had no clear listener. This plan starts with who the show is for and a format you can sustain, records several episodes before launch so you have a buffer, and keeps the equipment simple. After launch, publishing on schedule and learning from each episode matter far more than early download numbers.
Milestones
One checkpoint for each of the first three quarters. The goal itself lands in the fourth.
- Quarter 1Planned: the listener, format and name decided, and a trailer recorded
- Quarter 2Launched: my podcast live with 3 episodes out and 2 more recorded as a buffer
- Quarter 3Consistent: 12 episodes published on schedule and listener feedback gathered
Key results
Numbers you can check at any point to see whether you're on track.
